2025 Wrapped: Our Short but Sweet Year at Oakwood
While Oakwood only launched in November, the past year was still a very meaningful one for us. After working so hard for so long to open our doors, our dream was finally realized. We transformed our dusty construction site into a vibrant community hub filled with laughs, warmth, clinking glasses, music drifting through golden-hour air, and neighbors becoming friends one visit at a time. Our hunch turned out to be true: life’s best moments really are the ones we create together.
So, as the sun begins to rise over the new year, we’re taking a moment to look back with awe and gratitude for an unforgettable 2025 at Oakwood.

The legendary Oakwood Margarita
#5: The margaritas that became legend
It’s official: our margaritas became a thing this year.
We heard your delight, saw your smiles, and read every “these are dangerous… in the best way” comment. Whether it was date night, girls’ night, or a spontaneous “we just needed a good drink” afternoon, our margs showed up strong (literally and figuratively).
They became the drink of choice for sunsets, celebrations, and those “just one more round” moments. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

#4: The sunsets that lit up our nights and spirits
If we could bottle up the Hill Country sky, we would.
Night after night, that sweeping, glowing sunset over our patio reminded us why this place is so special. Families gathered. Friends lingered. And we all snapped photos, trying to capture a bit of the fleeting magic.
Whether you were sitting and sipping with a marg or just unwinding after a long day, our sunset view became more than scenery; it became a ritual.
“Once the sun starts to set, it’s hard to beat the view.” - Patrick K.
Gathering with friends and music at Oakwood
#3: The music that brought us together
2025 was filled with music. Local artists sharing their stories, acoustic sets that matched the mood, and voices rising as the sun dipped low.
Our Sunset Sessions provided the perfect backdrop for our Hill Country evenings, while our musicians brought heart to every performance. These last couple of months, we’ve spotlighted local artists like Chris Donahue, Adam Knight, The Lockheart Sisters, Savannah Red, and Johnny Holden. We couldn’t be prouder to create a space where the Dripping Springs sound truly lives out loud.

#2: The food that comforted and delighted us
From pizza and diner favorites to seasonal specials crafted with intention, our chefs created a menu that became part of people’s routines, celebrations, and comfort rituals this year.
Every dish we serve is designed to feel like care on a plate. And this year, you made that mission come alive.

#1: The people who made it all possible
At the heart of everything? You.
Neighbors who became regulars, regulars who became friends, and visitors who walked in curious and left feeling like they’d found their place. Even Santa made an appearance! We wouldn’t have had such an incredible 2025 if it weren’t for you.
But Oakwood wouldn’t be Oakwood without the people behind the bar, at the counter, in the kitchen, and at the leadership desk.
To our bartenders who mix warmth, conversation, and craft into every pour: thank you for being the heartbeat of so many evenings, celebrations, and “just one drink turned into three” nights.
To our baristas who learn names, remember orders, and serve comfort in a cup: you turn mornings into moments.
To our chefs and kitchen team who work with devotion, creativity, precision, and pride: thank you for plating care, flavor, and heart day after day.
To our leadership team who dreamed this place into existence and continue nurturing it with intention: your vision is creating something this community needed and deserves.
And to every employee who welcomes guests, cleans up when no one is watching, solves problems, makes people feel welcome, and keeps Oakwood running with kindness and respect: you are the reason people feel at home here.
We saw first dates, family reunions, after-game hangs, milestone celebrations, quiet solo coffee mornings, and everything in between. Oakwood wasn’t just a stop—it became part of people’s lives. And that means everything to us.

And the best part of it all? We’re only just getting started. Expanded hours, new menus, more programming, private event opportunities…lots of great stuff coming your way very soon.
Thank you for welcoming us into your lives, and cheers to making more happy memories together in 2026!
